Choose a Therapist For Your Depression

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Justin Meyer Choosing a therapist is an important step towards getting well. And finding a therapist is not something that can be undertaken by just looking in the yellow pages. This can be the single most important step towards healing yourself and should not be undertaken lightly. A good therapist is like a good lover. It is someone who you have a rapport with, and someone who you trust. If you cannot be open with your therapist, then you will not tell him or her everything, and that is counter-productive. Your therapist is like your new best friend, or maybe an even more important figure. There are two methods towards finding a therapist. The first is to call your insurance company. You may need to do this if you want your therapy to be covered by your health insurance. They will ask you a few questions and give you the name of someone they work with. This person will be a specialist in the symptoms you have described, but they may not come with much recommendation. The second method is to talk to your doctor, your clergy, or friends who you trust, and ask them if they recommend anybody. They might recommend a couple of people, and you can pick one. Sit down for an intake session and talk with the person. Ask if they work with a psychiatrist, what their qualifications are, anything else you think is important in getting to know and trust them. If you aren’t feeling comfortable with the person, try someone else. Eventually, you will find someone who you can work with. But don’t settle, make sure you find what you are looking for. Katrina is Only the Eve of Destruction!

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By David Ben-Ariel Thomas Jefferson was moved to remark: “My God! How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy!” NOT until drought, famine, and supernatural disasters strip our cupboards bare, and EMPTY our grocery shelves, will we know how good weve had it! Only when America goes hungry, will she remember how full she was! President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed April 30, 1863, as a NATIONAL DAY OF FASTING, HUMILIATION AND PRAYER, and spoke these words: “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us! It behooves us, then to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.” God heard and answered those prayers! Judgment was forestalled. But wheres a leader today with the moral courage and spiritual vision, to strongly recommend that “We, the People” humble ourselves and pray, let alone fast? Weve got to have our three meals a day, with plenty of snacks in between! But DROUGHT is going to force us to fast! Gods going to suddenly withhold the rain, in various parts of our countries, destroying our crops. Floods will rot the rest (Amos 4:7-8)! Were supposed to enjoy a reciprocal relationship with God, but we havent. Since weve failed to offer up prayers, Gods not going to send down rain! Both our parched land and lives NEED Gods Holy Spirit! Weve got to learn the spiritual relationship between the heavens and the earth - theyre interdependent! We need to fast and pray, now, to be spared from further misery: “…if My people who are called by my Name (Christian countries) will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). Instead of becoming a model-nation weve become a STRIPPER! Weve taken all the fine things that Gods given us and laid them out before foreigners (Hosea 2:1-13)! Weve squandered our time and energy in pagan ways and heathen practices! Therefore, Gods going to STRIP AWAY OUR PEACE AND PROSPERITY! Were going to be left exposed to the elements and stripped bare before NAKED AGGRESSION! Since we refuse to return to God, well be sent back into SLAVERY! Were a nation of DRUNKS AND WHORES - so Gods going to let us hit bottom so hard itll appear well never bounce back! Gods no longer going to enable us to carry on in our ways, drinking ourselves to death and dying for sex! Weve gone from bad to worse: “You have stricken them, but they have not grieved; You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to return” (Jeremiah 5:3). Weve become so hard-hearted, so cold and cruel, nothing seems to faze us anymore, but Gods taking away His protective shield (Isaiah 5:5). Were going to be ravaged by the weather and our enemies! But we dont attribute the dramatic increase in “natural disasters” and crazy weather to a spiritual upheaval. We fail to see any connection between our land and our lives, even though Solomon was wise enough to know theres a link (1 Kings 8:35-40). We should realize that nature doesnt have a mind of its own, but can be used by our Creator to get us thinking (Jeremiah 5:20-25). God says because He’s called us on many different occasions, and we’ve refused to answer; weve broken the olive branch every time He’s extended it; we’ve flatly rejected what Hes advised us to do, and didn’t want to be told we weren’t living right — laughing at God’s people as old-fashioned, and making fun of them for believing the Bible and thinking they’re crazy for warning about Europe (who will deal the death blow to our sick and dying country) instead of taking them seriously: “I also will laugh at your calamity, I will mock when your terror comes… When distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call upon me, but I WILL NOT ANSWER; they will seek me diligently, but they will not find me” (Proverbs 1:24-33). Who likes a fair-weather friend? Who’s willing to play second fiddle to anyone or anything in a right relationship? Does God want us to only look Him up when we’re short on cash or need to get out of jail? Is God impressed with our attention when all our distractions have been stripped away? When we can finally hear Him and listen to what He has to say because we no longer own a loud stereo or television set (because our homes have been blown up, destroyed or looted)? CONCENTRATION CAMPS will help us to learn to THINK again! As our CREATOR, God’s going to dispatch the forces of nature to bring His Message home! “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21: 25-26). When Earth’s equilibrium’s off and nature appears to have gone off the deep end; terrifying tidal waves crash into cities, batter our coastlands and sweep away towns; unbelievable earthquakes strike that make today’s troubles seem like mere tremors; droughts occur that suck out every ounce of moisture from the air; and on and on with NO RELIEF in sight - people are going to break! Some will be literally scared to death! We need to WAKE UP and realize this is all symptomatic of our sick condition! Earth reflects our relationship with Heaven. The reason we experience upset weather is because there’s a SPIRITUAL UPHEAVAL in our lives! These bizarre acts of creation warn us we’re out of sync with the Scriptures! WHAT WILL WE DO ABOUT IT? Will we remain ignorant and indifferent and die, or turn around as a people and nation and save ourselves from suffering further consequences for disobedience? (Daniel 9:11). God help us to see it’s only going to get worse if we don’t get better. God help us to be spared from national destruction, defeat and deportation! 9 Essential ‘Things you Need’ when Choosing Craft Instructions

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Geraldine Jozefiak Knowing what to look for as you buy into craft instructions, will help you to save time and money. These 9 suggestions will help you to analyse any project to see if it really does tick all the boxes you need. Apply this list to all your existing purchases, and to any new books that you are thinking of adding to your resource library.. 1. Is there an introduction that tells you what’s coming? As in all good teaching, it’s important that you have some idea of what’s coming at you. Does it tell you what level the project, how you might introduce it, or how to alter any of the ideas? Introductions give you a chance to make snap intuitive judgements on whether the project is right for your group. You’ll make this decision with reference to the accompanying photo - if there is one. 2. Is there a picture to show the finished articleIt’s vital to have some idea of the finished product, so that you can refer to it as you first read the instructions. Does the photo tie in with the steps? Does it look like something you’d want to make, and if it doesn’t, could you adapt anything about the project to suit your group - i.e. the colour, size, or other aspects? 3. Is the list of the things you need clearly laid out?If you’re having a busy teaching day with little time to plan you’ll want to know exactly what you need, in a hurry. You dont want to be scrabbling around the page looking at tiny print to find the section on what you need. You’re looking for a clear, horizontal list of what you need to go find, fetch and carry. 4. Are the things you need easily assembled, or do you need time to order/buy/find them? The last thing you’ll appreciate is having to order specialist materials. If you need to buy specialist materials, look for a series of step-by-step projects that will allow you to make the most of your resources. Make sure you have ‘corralled’ your materials in one place before you start, to check what you need, and what you need to get. 5. Are the project instructions clearly laid out so that you can follow them?Instructions that are easy on the eye will win every time. If projects are new to you it’s even more important that you can find information easily. If you are using instructions from a new source, it may well be worth taking the time to become familiar with their house style and layout, as you’ll know that future instructions will be in the same format. 6. Do the step-by-step instructions take you by the hand, and presume you ‘know nothing? Many instructions are not full enough and they leave things out, or add in extra information that can be confusing. You want lean and mean instructions that are clear without being fussy. Do they give you enough instruction to give you confidence? Full instructions are essential and if you do know the basics that they are covering, you can move more quickly through the project Ultimately you want to be confident and competent in leading the project and the instructions. If they are well constructed will do that for you. 7. Is the page layout visually clear so that you could find the parts you need in a hurry? It’s not just the layout that needs to be clear. It’s important that the instructions are well laid out with enough white space for you to locate what you need easily. Font should be at least 12 point - anything smaller may well give you problems when you’re in a rush, and you dont want to have to tear something out of book, photocopy it, or enlarge it. Look for instructions that are A4, clear, logical, and do the job. 8. Are there recommendations on how to extend the project (if it worked well) or how to sort out any problems (if it doesn’t go so well)? If the project can be extended it’s always good to have some idea how. The writer should be able to give you some pointers in how to blend it with other activities and ideas. 9. Do you feel as the person writing the instructions has made the project? It’s often easy to tell if a crafter hasn’t written the project. But many times the project is, and whilst they may be good at making it, they aren’t so good at explaining how! Choose instructions that are written by a teacher if possible or certainly someone with a flair for explaining simple and complex steps in a take you by the hand style. Wedding Invitations: Choose the Right Theme and Content

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Angel Abdulnor The first step for a marriage party is the wedding invitation. A wedding invitation reflects not only the status of the family but also the spirit of the members towards that auspicious occasion. If we add a little imagination and creativity, we can create a unique wedding card, which reflects the true spirit of the occasion. A wedding greeting, on the other hand, sends the true feeling of the sender towards his friend or colleague or whoever and so it should have an expression that signals his feelings. Even though the themes of all wedding invitations are the same, we can add a fresh fragrance to it by changing the style and contents a little. Over a period of time, theme and style of invitations and greeting cards have been changed with the change in tradition. Today the traditional wedding invitation has seen the inclusion of modern artists works with contemporary contents. And there is no restriction for any colors. In contrary to the traditional white or off-white color for a wedding invitation, the latest trend is to choose a particular color as a theme for a wedding. It would be wonderful if you could choose a particular hue for your card, which is matching the wedding dresses of the bride and the groom and the decorations of the wedding hall. This will truly make the occasion ever memorable for the guests as well as the hosts. You may fix a theme for your wedding and invite your guests to join you for that through your wedding card. For example, if you wish to make your own tradition highlighted in your wedding, you can invite them for an ethnic party, with all being dressed in traditional ethnic wear, and you serving them all ethnic items. A wedding invitation will look more attractive if it is more spacious and not overcrowded with the contents. Using different fonts will bring the required effect and avoid unnecessary crowding of letters. It is very important that you add all the necessary details of the address of the venue, the exact time of the wedding, etc., with much care, so that the guest does not have to request for more information later. The main difference between a wedding invitation and a wedding greeting is that the wedding invitation cards are printed by us selecting the theme, color, etc., whereas wedding greetings are to be chosen from the limited collections of the gallery. Yet, with a wide variety of cards available in the market, it is very easy to pick the right card, which matches our imagination and theme. Whether it is a wedding invitation or a wedding greeting, we need to be very meticulous in selecting their themes and contents. Secondly, they have to be sent on time. An invitation, which is received well in advance, will attract the right guests. So try not to be late in getting your cards printed. And of course, wedding greetings should be reached not late than the day of the wedding or the wedding anniversary. A late invitation or a greeting reflects the halfhearted attitude of the sender and thus puts out the enthusiasm of the recipient. Five Easy Steps to Losing Belly Fat

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Jamie Clark Are you one of the millions of people who has more belly fat than you’d like to? Are you interested in losing it? Well that’s definitely not a bad idea at all. Lowering your belly fat levels will make you look and feel a lot better. More importantly, it’ll reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other serious health problems. Unfortunately, belly fat can be one of the most stubborn types of body fat to get rid of. However, there are several easy steps you can take to immediately begin shrinking that layer of ugly blubber surrounding your midsection. Here are a few of the best… Make fiber your focus - Eating lots of fiber-rich foods is one of the simplest and easiest things you can do to shrink you belly. Fiber gives your metabolism a boost and keeps you feeling full so you don’t overeat. And fortunately it’s pretty easy to get more fiber into your diet. Simply start buying “whole grain” versions of your favorite foods, including breads, cereals, and pastas. Eat more dishes made with beans and legumes. Learn to incorporate a variety of fiber-rich fruits and vegetables into your recipes. Both the fresh and frozen versions are great. Get enough sleep - Most health and fitness experts agree that the average person needs at least 7 hours of sleep each night in order to optimize their metabolism and avoid weight gain. Recent studies have shown that not getting enough sleep can increase the amount of “fat storage” hormones your body produces. Also, researchers know that sleep deprived people tend to make worse food choices than people who aren’t tired. And, of course, tired people don’t have the energy to exercise on a regular basis! Cut out the trans fats - Trans fats aren’t just bad for your health. They’re also bad for your belly! One recent study showed that monkeys who were fed a diet that included trans fat had 30% more belly fat than monkeys who ate “good” fats like omega-3 and monounsaturated fats… even though both groups ate the same amount of calories! Fortunately, many products are now offered in “trans fat free” versions and, of course, the healthiest foods are naturally free of these dangerous fats. Do some form of exercise 6 days a week - Besides being important for your overall health and fitness, there is some evidence that belly fat is more “responsive” to exercise than other types of body fat. In fact, it’s very common for people on a new exercise program to notice a reduction in their abdominal fat levels within just a week or two of beginning. Talk about a great motivation boost! The good news is that you don’t have to join a gym or run hundreds of miles a week. Just half an hour of “fast” walking most days of the week can make a very big impact on your body fat levels. Drink less alcohol - Limit your alcohol intake to one or two drinks per day. It’s called a “beer belly” for a reason. Alcohol not only contains “empty calories” that are easily stored as fat, it also tends to inhibit the natural fat burning processes going on in your body. Also, drinking too much alcohol reduces your will power and makes it much more likely that you’ll end up eating the kinds of high-fat/high-carb foods that contribute to a belly growing fat. By the way, if you’re really interested in learning how to lose your body fat, look great, and feel good while you’re doing it I highly recommend the “Burn the Fat, Keep the Muscle” program located here: http://www.fat-burning-guide.com Jamie Clark is a fitness writer and contributing editor of the Belly Fat Blog. Raleigh Laser Hair Removal Expert Provides Guidelines on Choosing a Laser for Hair Removal

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Kile Law Laser hair removal has come a long way since the first laser for hair removal received FDA clearance in the mid 1990s. Older generation lasers were slow, very painful and worked only on individuals with very dark hair and very light skin. Today, lasers can work on all skin colors and some lasers are even safe for treating tanned skinned. When considering a hair removal laser treatment, consumers should ask the following questions: 1) Is this laser FDA approved for hair removal on my skin type and hair color? There are several lasers for hair removal available. No one laser is ideal for every individual. Depending on your skin color and hair color, some lasers will be more effective than others. The Ruby Laser:This is the “original ” hair removal laser. Its deep red color at 694nm is very well absorbed by the melanin pigment in hair, making it an excellent choice for fine and light hair. However, because melanin is present in the skin as well, the Ruby laser cannot be used on patients with skin that is not very light, including tanned skin. Because of this limitation, slow repetition rate, and relatively small spot size, Ruby lasers have become less popular for laser hair removal in recent years. The Alexandrite Laser:This laser produces reddish light. With its large (up to 18mm) spot size and high repetition rate, the Alexandrite laser is the fastest hair removal laser, and is suitable for rapid treatment of large body areas in patient with light to olive complexion. An entire back can be treated in less than 30 minutes. The Diode Laser:This laser, consists of a high power laser diode emitting infrared (invisible) light at ~800-808nm. The longer wavelength allows deep penetration into the skin and safety for darker skin types, but with less efficacy for lighter and finer hair. The long pulse Nd:YAG:This laser can be used on all skin types, including tanned skin. Large spot sizes and fast repetition rates allow large areas to be treated quickly. Disadvantages include more discomfort during treatment and less effective clearance for fine and light hairs than the other hair removal lasers. IPL devices are not lasers, because they emit non-coherent light of many different wavelengths. However, because most of the light energy is in the shorter wavelengths, treatment of darker skin types is less effective than with the appropriate laser. 2) What is the spot size of the laser? A larger spot size offers not only the advantage of faster treatment, but also additional safety and efficacy. As spot size increases, a lower percentage of the delivered light energy scatters outside of the treatment area, increasing the depth of pentration, and allowing a lower energy setting to be used for treatment. 3) What type of cooling system is the laser equipped with?It is important that a laser have consistent cooling in order to ensure patient safety and comfort. 4) Is there a board-certified physician on site? Although complications with new lasers for hair removal are rare, in the event of a complication, you need to know who will provide medical attention. 5) Are treatments sold in a package or one at a time? Because every person will respond at a slightly different rate, and some individuals will require more treatments than others for complete clearance, most laser centers will offer individual sessions. 6) Are complimentary consultations and spot tests available? You should be able to meet the technician and experience a pulse or two before committing to a treatment. Holiday Season: More Opportunities for Savvy Job Seekers

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Bonnie Lowe Are you thinking of slowing down or stopping your job search activities during the holiday season? Many job seekers do. Which means better opportunities for those who do not. Here’s why: Less competition! Jobs don’t disappear during the holidays, but many job seekers do. Whether it’s due to family vacations or just an attitude of “I’ll relax a bit now, then double my efforts after the New Year begins,” fewer people will be competing for your dream job this time of year. New openings! Many companies interview during November and December for new positions starting at the first of the year. The hiring managers are eager to find people who will help them get off to a great start in 2006. More networking opportunities! ‘Tis the season for parties, socializing, card-sending… networking! Attend as many events as you can, and let people (even your relatives) know you’re interested in finding new opportunities. Send holiday cards to people you’ve recently interviewed with — even those who chose another candidate. You never know when some other opportunity might pop up and your name will pop into their head! Seasonal work! Temporary, seasonal work opportunities increase during the holidays, when year-end workloads increase and regular employees disappear on vacation. If you’re between jobs, taking temporary work can help you make ends meet. Make a great impression as a temporary worker, and you’ll have an advantage if a full-time position becomes available down the road! So do the opposite of what most job seekers do during the holiday season — work doubly hard, and reap the rewards! Fishing Gear: Purchase Quality Or Quantity?

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By T Potter If you walk into your local fishing shop, you are likely to find a wide range of fishing gear. For the beginner, it can be hard to determine just what is out there and what you should be purchasing. While you may want to purchase products and gear that are specific to your tastes, it is much more important to purchase products that are of high quality instead. So, what do you look for and how do you know what to get? To know, here are some guidelines you should follow. First, determine what type of fish, what type of fishing and where you are headed to fish. Fishing gear is specific first to the type of fishing that you plan to do. Youll need a different fishing rod for saltwater fishing than you will for freshwater fishing. Now, on to what type of fish you are after. Youll need to know what weight of line you should purchase as well. You may need a heavier line if you are heading out for King Salmon rather than the small trout in your local pond. And, when it comes to the area, youll also need to know what the fish like. Some lures work on fish better than others. You can find this out by talking to the local fishing tackle employee. How much to purchase depends on what you plan to invest. The more that you purchase, though does nothing to make you a better fisherman. What you need is to insure that you get quality products that will withstand your adventure. Quality is always necessary. For the beginner, knowledge is also the key to success. If you havent been out there just yet, you should take along an experienced individual to help you. That way you get the best results and you get the education you need to do it on your own next time. Fishing gear is fishing gear, right? It is not all the same and it is not easy to purchase unless you know what to get. The best way to know what to take with you on your next fishing adventure is to ask the local fishing tackle specialist in that area. They will be glad to tell you all that you need to know to head out. And, they may even tell you where a great fishing spot is located too. This article was written by T.Potter. From the Heart

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

By Anthony Smith 1 Corinthians 9:19-9:23 From The Heart A Look at Christianity from a Ministers Point of View. The following scriptures give us an insight on who we are and the awesome responsibility that we have as ministers of the word of God. Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28 states that Jesus came to minister to man, salvation thru His name and His upcoming sacrifice, are we more than our master that we are immune to sacrifice? We are to give our lives to the promotion of the Gospel and the Salvation of others thru the diligents and preaching of the Gospel. In the world of mankind there are very few that have been called to minister to many. Paul stated;1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Begotten denotes the physical relation of either parent to a child. Then doesnt this statement by Paul tell us that we are in a close relationship with those that we minister to, as with a child or children? These people that we minister to are children that we have been given, to protect and nurture and give ourselves too, these are our responsibility and we will give an account as to the care that we gave them. It is not our words that we preach that saves, it is Gods word that we preach that saves. Paul goes on to say; 1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling {Called by God, not man}, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh { mans Idea of Educated}, not many mighty {Strong in presents of appearances}, not many noble {of noble decent}, are called: 1Co 10:33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. So many key words in Pauls statements; not seeking mine own profit. but the profit of many., that they may be saved. To profit; To benefit; to advantage; applied to ones self, to derive some pecuniary interest or some accession of good from any thing; as, to profit ones self by a commercial undertaking, or by reading or instruction. In this sense, the verb is generally used intransitively. Seeking His own profit is speaking of wisdom and knowledge in Gods word; He was stating that the wisdom was to be given to many to their profit to saving of their soul. We dont please all men, thats not what Paul was saying. Paul was stating that, He knew their way and could identify with them, as far as their infirmities, in religion, He knew of Idolatry and He knew of the Law, He knew the Rich and He knew the Poor, He knew of the strong and the weak, all of this he was speaking was of the spirit and not of the flesh. Paul used all resources He knew to reach all men that by some means He might win some. He could identify with their need for salvation thru Jesus. Religion is an infirmity to many, there are many religious people in the world but on the whole few Christians. Being religious does not mean that you are saved. 1Co 9:19-23 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospels sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. Have we all become all things to all men as Paul did? Or are we in a world of our own, only seeking those things and people that are like us? How many fellow Christians are suffering today that are in need of prayer and support? Lets read a little,09/09/2004: GFA Missionaries Held Hostage To Be Killed within 48 Hours!Anti-Christian elements in Bihar have captured, severely beaten and are threatening to kill GFA native missionary Pastor Manrathan and his wife. GFA Bible woman Sarita is also being held hostage. An anti-Christian mob from six villages holds the Gospel workers tied to a sacred tree, demanding 25,000 rupees as a ransom for desecrating their village with the Gospel. If the exorbitant amount is not received within 48 hours, they plan to kill the missionaries. There are no police in the isolated area to intervene. GFA leaders are fervently praying for wisdom on how they can best help the situation. The anti-Christian group spearheading the incident is the same one that burned missionary Graham Staines and his two children alive in Orissa several years ago. In recent years a number of GFA missionaries serving in their native India have been brutally murdered for sharing their faith as well. Pastor Manrathans village has proven extremely dangerous for Christian workers, yet God has blessed his courage and commitment. They recently planted a church in this remote area of North India. A few weeks ago, Pastor Manrathan held a service where new believers publicly proclaimed their Christian faith. It was a significant time for the congregation. One new believer, a tribal person, renounced his old faith publicly by turning away from everything else to believe in God. This act was brought to the attention of the whole village by his neighbors, who objected to his conversion. In no time, the news of this event spread to six surrounding villages. Soon a large mob descended on the small congregation of new believers and began to beat them. Pastor Manrathan, his wife and Sarita were taken from the church, beaten mercilessly and tied to a tree. No one was allowed to leave the village, to prevent others from hearing of the beatings. Only yesterday, one of the believers escaped with the news. Your urgent prayers for the lives of these missionaries are needed. Pray the Lord will give them strength and that His presence would be real to them during this time of trial and persecution. Pray also for endurance and boldness. 2Co 2:4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. 2Co 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. Jam 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. How can we ignore the other side of Christianity, how can we not have compassion for our brothers and sisters in peril? Prophecy must be fulfilled but that doesnt stop us from giving the Gospel the best we have. Preaching, teaching, witnessing to others with all our hearts. Would you here today, that are lost be able to take the punishment of terrorism and stay faithful to your cause, do you have someone to turn to that would understand and protect you in time of need? Without Jesus you have no one. In the sight of God speak we in Christ. Its past time that we began again to be Christ like, to pray and Fast and be as our Master, to love one another and not being careful for nothing, standing up for the God of all Creation. I say these things out of my love for mankind and Gods Children. Sometimes the truth is hard to take but we must remember that Jesus can come at any moment, shouldnt we be about our Fathers business when He returns?
